Alongside color, matt tile surfaces are increasingly replacing traditional glossy finishes. Finishes such as matt silk or matt crystal silk offer a softer, more natural appearance while reducing harsh reflections and glare. Matt surfaces also contribute to the warm, cozy feeling associated with Nordic interiors and tend to show fewer scratches and footprints during daily use.

In terms of patterns, modern Nordic interiors no longer favor dramatic marble veining or overly decorative stone effects. Instead, designers prefer subtle stone textures, minimalist cement-inspired patterns, or natural sand effects, which add gentle depth without overwhelming the space.
