Catalan was founded in Bac Ninh in 2007 with an emphasis on the mid-range and high-end product segments, stemming from the desire to develop a brand known for its excellence, strongly entrenched in the identity and pride of the Vietnamese people.

Since our establishment, we have consistently made investments in and improved our equipment system, acquired and used the most cutting-edge technologies, and consistently led the way in production technology. In addition to the equipment, Catalan's workforce is constantly evolving, completely adjusting to the latest developments in tile design and manufacturing.

Catalan's next investment ecosystem focuses on high-tech animal farming, industrial real estate, urban real estate, and the production and selling of luxury tiles.

The ceramic tile factory was put into operation with two production lines, with a total capacity of 9 million m² of products per year.

Investment and upgrade of production lines No. 3 and 4, increasing the factory’s capacity to 15 million m² of products per year.

Launched porcelain tile products in sizes 60×60 cm and 30×60 cm, using digital printing technology, edge grinding, and Nano polishing technology.

Invested in the most advanced production line from SACMI Italy, increasing the factory’s capacity to 17.5 million m² of products per year.

Put into operation production line No. 6 for high-end porcelain tiles, with a capacity of up to 2.5 million m² of products per year.

Commissioned a CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) station, reducing dependence on coal and enhancing environmental friendliness.

Applied Industry 4.0 technology in production, increasing the factory’s capacity to 27 million m² of products per year.

Put into operation the largest press machine in Vietnam today, the SACMI PH7500. Catalan products are officially introduced to the European market.

Sugar Effect

Sugar Effect

The “Sugar Effect” is a surface technology in which a special frit layer — composed of crystalline particles — is applied to the product. During the final firing at a high temperature of approximately 1170°C, these particles fuse and bond firmly to the surface. This process creates a matte, subtly sparkling finish with a highly stable structure, delivering enhanced anti-slip performance and significantly higher abrasion resistance compared to conventional ceramic and porcelain tiles.

Edge grinding, polishing, and Nano coating technology.

Edge grinding, polishing, and Nano coating technology is the most advanced polishing technology in the world. Silicate particles are ground down to nanometer size, creating chemical bonds that seal tiny pores on the surface. This process gives the product an ultra-glossy surface, bright and beautiful color, and high aesthetic quality, while also providing stain resistance, scratch resistance, and very easy cleaning (only water or a cloth is needed).

Digital printing technology.

Digital printing technology is one of the most advanced technologies currently applied in the ceramic tile manufacturing industry. It offers a resolution of up to 12 million pixels and can print directly on shaped surfaces as well as uneven or textured surfaces of high-end products.

With 8 production lines and 8 digital printing machines (Durst, System), Catalan is proud to be a pioneer in applying digital printing technology in manufacturing.

The production line is fully equipped with synchronized European technology (SACMI, DURST, SYSTEM), increasing capacity threefold compared to the early days of construction, reaching more than 27 million m² of products per year.

All Catalan products always ensure user safety, maintaining strong floor grip when objects move across the surface or when liquids are present, with a slip resistance rating from R10 to R12.
